Four Things.....

  1. Congrats to Ben Roethlisberger for fooling the officials enough to give him a touchdown.
  2. Did anybody see Darrell Jackson push off right before his touchdown? Yeah, me neither.
  3. Holding on Sean Locklear? If Joey Porter was a Seahawk he would be complaining about the refs wanting the Steelers to win and giving them the game.
  4. How do you call a low block on Matt Hasselbeck when he makes the tackle?

The fact of it is the NFL wanted the Bus and the Steelers to win it. It was some of the worst officiating I have ever seen in my whole life. It's funny how the game was decided by eleven points, but if you give D. Jack his touchdown and don't call the phantom hold on Locklear there's more than likely eleven points right there.

I especially like how the steelers DIDN'T get called for a low block on the reverse touchdown throw. That was only a couple minutes after they mistankingly called it on Hasslebeck.

Before the game started I was hoping the refs wouldn't fuck up so that our victory would be slightly tarnished. It's even worsed that they fucked up our chances for a victory.

My personal favorite was the two missed field goal attempts that you guys haven't even mentioned by your shitty-ass kicker. OR the fact that even how slight he was over the white line, Roethlisberger clearly had broken the plane for the touchdown. And while it didn't go in your favor, you do have to hand it to Cowher for knowing how to shift hte tides in momentum with some very well-times trick plays. That pass from Randle El to Ward was beautiful. While the holding call was probably bogus (I'll give ya that), I still think the Steelers earned that win, even if it was NOT the most nailbiting or efficient game in franchise history.

It looks like Emily didn't watch the game. It's funny that everybody on ESPN.com (even Skip Bayless who hates the Seahawks) say that they got robbed. It's funny how you don't mention the phantom low block by Hasselbeck or the actual low block that didn't get called on the Randle El to Ward pass. It's funny how somebody from PA doesn't think the refs handed them this game just because Jerome Bettis is from Detroit and it's the cinderella ending. The NFL is turning into the NBA.
Other than that; great observations Emily (that was sarcasm Gus)

Actually I'm not from PA Gus, but I did grow up watching the Steelers (although Hasselbeck and I went to college together, so I have a soft spot for him). Yes, I'm well aware of what it says on ESPN.com. Of course the losing team is going to bitch and moan, but are you seriously going to argue that the Steelers didn't earn it? Having to win the last 4 of there regular season games just to make the post-season. Coming in as the 6th seed and having to beat Cincy, Indy, and Denver before getting a shot at the Superbowl. On top of all the shitty playoff ref-ing? Yeah, they didn't deserve it (note sarcasm). So thanks for your comments. Nothing like listening to a sore loser to make the victory even sweeter:)

I didn't say you were from PA, nate did. And those missed kicks did suck, kind of like our comeback effort at the end of both halves. But, and this is a big BUT, he shouldn't have had to kick either of those field goals from 50 yards. The first should have been a touchdown, bullshit call, and the second was back so far because of the refs again, bullshit call. And not even a Steeler fan should think for a second that Ben crossed the line with the ball. He got fuckin stopped. The ref saw it and signaled 4th down, then as he was running over decided he better call it a TD then see if it needed to be reversed. But becuase of that awesome "no conclusive evidence" bullshit they hide behind, The Bus doesn't get to run it in from the 1. horsecrap, Ben played like shit and the Bus deserved that TD. The Steelers may have earned the win, and a win is a win, but it sucks to win that way.

Mike Holgrem said it best.
"We knew it was going to be tough going up against the Pittsburgh Steelers. I didn't know we were going to have to play the guys in the striped shirts as well."

If the roles would have been reversed, everybody in PA would be sounding like Joey Porter after the Colts game. Except the refs just tried handing the Colts the win not actually giving them the win like the Steelers in the Super Bowl.
Every sports reporter on TV and the web (that isn't East Coastist) thinks the referees affected the outcome of this game.
Emily, sorry I thought you were from PA. I just went and looked at your profile and it says location: State College, PA. I just figured you were at the location you listed. My bad.
And the only thing worse than getting robbed by the referees is listening to somebody who can't enjoy a win graciously.

I just thought that I would add that the ref that called the "offensive pass interference" on Darrell Jackson is from Pittsburgh. Coincidence? Nope.

One for the Dumb makes good points. In fact, all seahawks fans are making pretty good points. Too bad our team couldn't do the same BECAUSE THE FUCKING REFS WOULDN'T LET US. What is this, fucking Remember the Titans?
